Towering Peace Candle Tree

In a private home's yard, there's a tree trunk that's been carved to resemble a lit candle. The word "PEACE" is spelled out in letters attached to the tree. It's visible from the street, and easily photographed from the sidewalk. I haven't seen any news reports about it, and there didn't seem to be anyone home to ask about it.

From the photo, the candle looks like it's been weathering for a while. Maybe the Peace Candle was a hippie-style post-9/11 memorial?
