Virginia City now has a Firemen's Museum. There are several fire trucks from the 1800s displayed, along with other memorabilia. A donation is requested on admission.

The Great Fire of 1875! What a thing that was. The museum features a fire wagon made in 1839 in Philadelphia, the oldest firefighting apparatus in the state of Nevada.
