Scranton, Pennsylvania: Statue of First American Woman Killed in Vietnam
2nd Lt. Carol Ann Drazba died February 18, 1966, when her helicopter flew into power lines. Her statue stands outside the former Scranton State General Hospital, where she had trained to be a nurse. Eight U.S. servicewomen were killed in Vietnam.
