Visitor Tips and News About Levitated Mass
A very large stone on the grounds of the LACMA. Entry is free. You can walk under the stone. It can be seen from Sixth Street just East of Fairfax.[Simon Burrow, 01/13/2013]
The big rock straddling the cement trench was unveiled with much fanfare in 2012. It's the work of artist Michael Heizer, who says he had the idea way back in 1969 but couldn't find the right rock.
