[RA: Smiler Greg checked on the status of a place we noted for follow-up: the Breck Shampoo Hall of Fame, Dial Corporate Center, 1850 N Cental. Original pastel portraits of 150 Breck girls, including Cybill Shepard, Jaclyn Smith and Brooke Shields.]
I'm sad to report that the Breck Shampoo Hall of Fame has been dismantled and shipped to the Smithsonian Institute in D.C., but nobody can tell me if the paintings are on display. This apparently happened when the Dial Corporate Offices moved to 15101 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale. I called the corporate offices because the offices at 1850 N Central were not the Dial HQ. After being transferred around a few times a nice lady told me that "..since the Breck line of hair-care products is no longer being manufactured, we felt that having the paintings on display caused confusion for our product line."

June 2001: Via site feedback: "I am Deborah Armstrong Schueler (former Breck model) and daughter of Roma Whitney Armstrong--the trademark model for Breck and the only model with the blue background. When The Breck Hall of Fame in Arizona was dismantled, the oils were taken to the Smithsonian where they are in storage now."
