The Memphis Cotton Exchange, restored to its late-1930s heyday. Essentially a big room, populated with a few dummies in action poses. Highlight is the huge trading chalkboard above a line of wooden phone booths.

Cotton Museum/Exchange

Where the US once held their historic cotton trade now holds a museum where you can learn all about the history of cotton and also about slavery and music. There is a little gift shop and some interactive displays for kids as well.
