- Directions:
- Garden of the Gods. I-25 exit 141. Drive north on US Hwy 24 for four miles. Exit at Manitou Ave. and bear right at the bottom of the ramp. Cross under US Hwy 24 and make an immediate right onto Garden of the Gods Place. Turn right onto El Paso Blvd, then make first left onto Garden Drive. Drive less than a half-mile to the rock.

There are few parking spaces nearby, but definitely hike around this place. It's beautiful all year round, and less crowded in the winter.

We've always appreciated this Balanced Rock because of its forethought to be right next to the road, with its own parking lot. Generations of travelers have pulled off and posed next to it, gambling that they won't be the ones standing beside Balanced Rock when it finally becomes unbalanced.
