Moqui Cave
The cave was purchased in 1951 and was initially set up as the first southern Utah bar and dance hall (the original bar is still present). Over the years its owner, a trained archaeologist and paleontologist, added displays of rocks, ancient artifacts, and even dinosaur bones he'd personally excavated. The rock collection includes many having luminous properties and are shown under black lights.
[Luv2RV, 07/15/2023]Not really worth the $5 entrance fee. Mostly a gift store now, with some cool Indian artifacts and dinosaur bones. Very commercialized. Fluorescent rocks display was cool.
[Bethepoo, 05/25/2012]I can't believe the triceratops entrance is gone! What were they thinking?! I used to go there as a kid, and I returned on our honeymoon in 1986. The old codger followed us around and harassed us to buy stuff the whole time, but that was the fun.
