Aurora, Indiana: Woman Buried in Her Cadillac
Visitor Tips and News About Woman Buried in Her Cadillac
Aurora Schuck loved her Cadillac El Dorado so much that she asked her husband to bury her in it when she died. Ray Schuck purchased 14 lots and had a crane lower the convertible into the large concrete vault. When Ray passed away in 2002 the vault was reopened and Ray was placed next to his wife. It was said that he moved her over because it was his turn to drive.[RAYDD, 08/11/2012]
Ray told the media covering the 1989 burial of his wife in her '76 Caddy that he had the oil changed and filled the gas tank. Too bad there's nothing above ground at the site referencing the car. Maybe put your ear to the ground and listen for the faint sound of an engine revving.
