Stanley Hotel - The Shining In response to a previous tipster, there is plenty of "Shining" lore to be found at the Stanley Hotel. We just visited August 24, 2008. The gift shop offers some great (if not pricey) 'Shining' things from books, t-shirts, postcards, DVD's, key chains, beer steins, "REDRUM" shot glasses, etc.
Downstairs you will find pictures from when the remake was made in 1996, along with signed mugs from Stephen King, Rebecca Demornay and other cast members. A beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. [Aimee, 08/31/2008]
The Shining Hotel The Shining Hotel (Stanley Hotel) is a beautiful place to stay. The hotel offers ghost tours for $10 by reservation only.
