Coon Bluffs, Iowa -
"Big" Ear of Corn
Coon Bluffs, Iowa - "Big" Ear of Corn I flew to Iowa City, Iowa, rented a car and drove to Coon Bluffs. Drove all over town. Stopped a lady to ask where the
big ear of corn was. She looked at me like I was a real loony. She said there's an ear by the main road. The "Tallest" is about six feet. Aparently the company which was to build it was bought out, moved to another town and abandoned. When they moved back home all they could afford was about six feet. At least the town is glad that the jobs are back in town.
