During a recent mid-day Saturday stop, KISS-themed miniature golf in Las Vegas was in full, ear-bleeding swing. As Kiss music pumped out of speakers, players moved quickly from hole to hole through the inky purple underworld of KISS imagery. Glowing KISS musician heads bobbed up and down on huge jack-in-the-boxes, a display of dummies posed frozen in mid-concert, and the terrifying Gene Simmons head belched smoke whenever a golf ball scored on the last hole down his throat.
While most present might have been fans eagerly celebrating the long overdue induction of the costumed rock legends into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, others simply enjoyed putting in a cheery radioactive landscape.
