Ocean City, Maryland - Ocean Gallery Joe Kro Art, owner of the over-the-top Ocean Gallery, keeps mailing us envelopes full of little clippings, like happy, insane ransom notes. If we piece them together, the message seems to be that Joe is busy busy, even in the shadow of his stunning defeat at erecting Boathenge on the beaches of his short-sighted town. He owns a Batmobile -- made from a black 1972 Dodge. The Red Bull girls will pose with little prompting in their red bikinis in front of Joe's business. Ocean City, Maryland - Ocean Gallery The Ocean Gallery is an Ocean City institution. There
are several Ocean Gallery location in Ocean City, but the best (and
strangest) is located right on the boardwalk close to the Southern
terminus at 2nd street.
The owner of Ocean Gallery, Joe Kro-Art, drives some very unique cars (one modeled after the Batmobile, another inspired by the movie Titanic). The exterior of the Ocean Gallery is covered in signs and paintings telling you of the wonders that are located inside. Inside you'll find something for everyone ranging from cheap posters to fine, and very expensive, paintings. [Greg Brown, 05/26/2001]
