Boston, Massachusetts: Giant Padlock and Chain (Gone)
Hanging off of the side of a storage facility is a colossal padlock and chain.
- Directions:
- Designed to be visible (but inaccessible) from I-93. To get to the building, take I-93 exits 15 or 16 and follow the signs for Boston St. The building is on the north side of Boston St. just west of the interstate. Park in the Fortress lot and walk around to the side of the building facing the interstate.

I just spoke with someone at Fortress Storage. The giant padlock and chain were down while some work was being done on the building. They will be back after the winter.

We can see from this view that the chain and lock are probably blow-up inflatables... which might explain the occasional disappearance.
