Roy Rogers' Horse, Trigger

The Roy Rogers/Dale Evans Museum once drew 200,000 visitors a year. Most came to see Trigger, Roy's dead horse. The museum closed years ago, but Trigger was sold and lives on as an attraction, along with Roy's dead dog, Bullet.

Roy Rogers' Horse Trigger and Dog Bullet

This attraction has relocated and we just happened upon it on a recent trip to Texas. Trigger and Bullet have been moved to the gift shop of the new "John Wayne: An American Experience" attraction at the Fort Worth Stockyards. There is no cost to view Trigger and Bullet, as they're in the public gift shop, where visitors purchase tickets to enter the Experience.

Roy Rogers' Horse, Trigger

The RFD-TV station in Branson seems to be closed. There are weeds growing in the parking lot, and it looks abandoned. We were hoping to see Trigger, Bullet, and Buttermilk in the lobby, but the building's windows are extremely tinted -- almost black. Even though you can't see them well with your eyes, you'll be able to see all three animals using a camera lens (digital camera or cellphone). Our photos came out great.
