Animatronic Foster Brooks - Gone

First the bad news: The animatronic Foster Brooks is no more. On a recent trip to Vegas, I made my pilgrimage to see it at the MGM Grand, which, I was told, is the largest hotel in the world by square footage of hotel rooms, not number of rooms. To say the least, I was crestfallen.

Now the good news: There's a story in its demise. A 50-ish year old bartender said a few years back it was destroyed when it agitated Mike Tyson shortly before a bout. Maybe Iron Mike is irritated easily by drunk robots. [Tamon Honda, 05/12/2001]
