Visitor Tips and News About Replica of 12th Century Norway Church
Norwegian Stave Church
A real masterpiece of craftsmanship and a wonderful experience as a piece of architecture. The wood even has a wonderful scent. No admission charge is necessary to view the exterior -- you simply walk over to it from the parking lot. However, to view the inside you have to be part of a guided tour. For that, apparently, the admission fee is required, but on the day that I visited they were unable to give me a tour. Maybe phone ahead if you want to be sure of seeing the inside.[Flamingo John, 08/15/2013]

Its architecture is a little bit Viking, a little bit sword-and-sorcery. We like it.
