Red elephant. Pink Elephant - Now Red

The Pink Elephant is no more because it was painted Red and lost its glasses. I found it today at the intersection of Browns Bridge Road and Jesse Jewell Parkway at a Texaco Gas Station. It belongs to a local business that rents it out for promotions, parties and so forth. It now Red because of the local high school mascot is a Red Elephant. You can still see the areas on the head where the glasses were attached before. It is still on a trailer and is very mobile so you may see it anyplace in Gainesville Georgia or surrounding areas. [RA: After you've spent a night tipping the giant martini glass with the pink elephant, don't be surprised if you spend eternity with the red hell-ephant.]

Pink Elephant

The Pink Elephant has been moved! In Gainesville it has been relocated to the shopping center where Pearl Nix Parkway and Browns Bridge road intersect. She is still wearing those specs right besides the "Folks" restaurant. I am happy to see she is getting more exposure than she was about a year ago when I saw her last! [Mark Jett, 08/14/2004]

After visiting Babyland General Hospital in Cleveland, Ga, keep driving on 129 south around five miles and you will see this nearsighted pink elephant in front of Bobby Clark R.V. Sales. It is right on the highway. [Rich Birley, 05/13/2001]

[RA: November 2006 -- has been moved to Hernando, Florida.]
