The Farnham Colossi
Pretty cool collection! There are a half dozen huge statues, as well as a Simpsons roller coaster ride (non-operational), the shark from Finding Nemo, and a giant apple covered in apple quotes. Nobody home when I stopped by.
If you're coming from 70, the directions are right on, but the address given only gets you about halfway to the Unger Store. Interesting detour for sure!

Unique piece of Americana. Worth the drive, although very off the beaten path. A must see! P.S. Looked for the outhouses protesting the developments, but sadly didn't see any. Looks like the developments won.
[Steve and Tiffany Schumer, 01/19/2010]Farnham Colossi - Biker Gal
George Farnham said he now has the largest muffler man collection on private property! The Uniroyal gal was given what is probably the most detailed makeover ever to a muffler "person." [RA: The Magic Forest Clown might object to that claim, but biker chick is impressive.] Not only is the paint the kind professionals use on expensive hot rod restorations, but the detail is amazing. If you get up close you can see the laces on her boots, the lace pattern on her gloves, better tattoos than real flesh can have, and even eyelashes.
There is also a Paul Bunyan, complete with chest hair!
Unfortunately, heavy winds this spring knocked down one of the Santa statues (along with the row of pine trees that used to stand behind the line of muffler people. When Santa fell, he also took out the apron on the supermarket Big John.
[Robb S, 07/05/2009]The Farnham Colossi - Biker Girl
The Farnham's got their [Biker] Uniroyal Gal up and also added another Muffler Man to the Colossi. They still plan on adding a axe to the new Muffler Man.
[leo cecil, 01/11/2009]Biker Gal, Simpsons Roller Coaster
George Farnham reports his Uniroyal Gal is being totally revamped. "Skirt and blouse are being removed and she is being transformed into a biker babe: leather skimpy outfit with leather gloves with the fingertips cut out and high heel leather boots, tattoos and a bandana. We already get so many bikers stopping by, but this will probably get us Rolling Thunder. A local artist is doing the honors. He talked to the people in Jersey who did the Uniroyal Gal [Nitro Girl] there last year and picked up some pointers."
For his recently acquired roller coaster, George has added Simpsons figures. "Bart was a challenge since he was sitting upside down in the movie theater display, but we right-sided him and tried to make it look like he was standing."
George hopes to have all his upgrades complete by mid-September.
