Oldest Dairy Queen - Closed

I regret to have to inform you that the oldest operating DQ in Council Bluffs, IA, is no longer operating. It never opened in the spring or summer of this year. There was a "For Sale" sign on it several weeks ago, and now the old neon sign has been dismantled. The building itself is still standing for now, but I have no idea what will become of it. Summer 2005 was evidently its last stand. [David Johnson, 09/11/2006]
