Mini Statue of Liberty

A much smaller version of the Statue of Liberty stands in front of the Lamar College campus.

[Irwin, 03/24/2013]

The Boy Scouts erected this mini-Liberty on November 11, 1950, as part of its "strengthen the arm of liberty" campaign. There were originally around 200 of these Scout-sponsored mini-Libs scattered across the U.S.; maybe half of them survive.
