Mr. Hockey.

Large Green Hockey Player Statue

This large green hockey player statue is in front of a bank down a ways and across the road from the Paul Bunyan and Babe statues.

[Krista Fritchman, 03/30/2013]

Wanda Reise Odegard sculpted the nine-foot-tall "Mr. Hockey" in the 1970s. For almost 20 years he stood in the lobby of the local university hockey rink. He was moved to his current outdoor spot in 2012, and painted green so he wouldn't endorse any hockey team.
