Boulder Junction, Wisconsin - Shrimp's Museum - Vague Recollections About 25 years ago, while on family vacation, we stopped at a site described
by many locals as a "MUST SEE." What it turned out to be was a MUST SEE TO
BE BELIEVED. The 'attraction' was a place called SHRIMP'S MUSEUM - Shrimp
being the owner's family name. This 'museum' was a tremendously twisted --
and somewhat creepy -- collection of stuffed mammals, dressed, posed and
staged in various settings (ie., cowboy squirrels, Rock-n-Roll moles, etc.)
all incredibly un-maintained. They were dusty, decaying little glimpses into
taxidermist hell - A MUST SEE!...If it's still there. Near as we can remember, it was just outside Boulder Junction.
