Muffler Man
Here's a snapshot of the supposed Muffler Man kidnapping I mentioned in my submittal on 06/08/2001 ("Healdsburg, California - Muffler Man - Historical sighting"). I heard a couple of years ago that this photo existed, but I just recently got my hands on it. I don't know how the boom truck fits into the story.

Here's a photo of my wife, Penny, in 1965 when she was a contestant in the Miss Healdsburg Pagent. This was taken at Giant Muffler Service on Healdsburg Avenue in Healdsburg, California, which was owned by her father Dickie Reese.
One evening some of the local boys removed the "giant" from the shop, carted him across the street to a lot behind the truck stop, placed him on his back and photographed each other standing proudly on top with a rifle. They all survived.
The giant is long gone but I've been wondering if this might be the guy that is now holding a canoe paddle at River Bend Campground in Forestville, California about 10 miles from this location.
