Spud Drive In The Spud Drive-In has not closed. The drive-in is a local favorite and when the management threatened to close it, there was a public uproar.
There is nothing like watching a movie at a drive-in!! The milkshakes at The Spud are thick enough to last an entire movie and you can call ahead to have your hamburgers or shakes ready for you when you get there.
I got a tour of the projection room and the old fashioned reel tape projector from the owner a few years ago - a real treat! Bring a sleeping bag and watch from the grass right in front of the screen. The stars provide an awe inspiring show if the movie isn't so great....
[Ann Reimers, 08/07/2011]While vacationing in Idaho several years ago (1991) we stumbled across the Spud Drive-In Theatre in Driggs, Idaho. They have a large potato (I suppose it's concrete) out in front. I was reminded of this while reading of the world's largest potato on your web site.
