Lake Superior Railroad Museum

This is a great museum, and it's actually part of a working train station. There are tons of railroad cars as well as other exhibits.

Lake Superior RR Museum

The Lake Superior Railroad Museum offers several rail excursions, from short trips to rides lasting multiple hours. Ride on various types of rail cars, including a Chicago and Northwestern commuter car from the 1960s. If you're nice, and the ride isn't crowded, the engineer may let you ride in the engine.

See the former world's most powerful electric locomotive, the steam-powered snow plow, and the oldest railroad engine in Minnesota. Lots of locomotives and rolling stock to look at. Also here, an indoor three-quarter scale recreation of downtown Duluth circa 1910.
