Elfin Forest
Don't be deceived, it's a variety of native scrub bushes, no trees -- but the walk around the boardwalk is well worth it. Some great views.
[Ann and David, 10/08/2018]This could hardly be described as a large forest -- more like 10-15 trees in a small grove. Most of the walk is just coastal scrub and the trees are in only one place on the boardwalk. If I lived locally I could walk there for exercise, but it's not worth detouring for.

This is just on the southern edge of the Morro Bay Estuary in the little town of Los Osos. It's a large forest of small trees. Nice place to take a walk.
