World's Largest Apple Okay, so once upon a time this might have been Huge, but it's not worth the detour off I-81 by itself. However, the town of Winchester IS. It's in a nice historical neighborhood near a pedestrian mall (which I haven't visited yet). White House apple plant is nearby.

World's Largest Apple The exact location is the intersection of west Piccadilly street and north Braddock street.

World's Largest Apple I've lived in Winchester most of my life, and perhaps I can shed some light on the apple. Because apples are a major cash crop of Virginia, we celebrate "Apple Blossom" on the first full weekend of May. That apple was a float in the very first Apple Blossom parade and has been there ever since.

The Apple is from a time when concrete and a popular postcard could hold onto a civic claim. Time for Winchester's four-story tall Apple instead of that pedestrian mall?
