One of your tipsters mentions Sugartit, KY. It unfortunately no longer exists, but was the area surrounding the intersection of US 42 and Gunpowder Road at the border of Florence and Union, KY. The last remnants were the "Sugartit Asphalt" plant, which has since been removed/renamed.

May 2005: Tipster David Fisher pointed us to "A Brief History of Boone County" from the Kentucky Encyclopedia, which notes that Sugartit is an unincorporated town near Union and Florence, along with Beaverlick and Rabbit Hash.
