Clute, Texas - Great Texas Mosquito Festival

The Mosquito festival is still up and running. It's held at Clute Municipal Park for three days in July, with a carnival, concerts, barbecue cook-off and craft vendors every year. They manage to bring in pretty big name country music acts every year, as well as some memorable classic rock. [Anonymous, 03/13/2008]

Although I have never actually been to the festival I remember riding in my parents' car as a little boy and reading the festival banner hanging down across the road. I hear it is quite fun...a typical country fair. [Frank Fierros, 06/30/2001]
