Las Vegas, Nevada: Rub Cleopatra's Chest for Luck (In Transition)
Opened in 1970, Cleopatra's Barge was a replica of the Egyptian queen's Nile River pleasure craft, outfitted as a floating lounge indoors at Caesars Palace casino. The figurehead of the boat -- a gold-gilt Cleopatra, nude from the waste up -- still leans out over the carpeted lobby. Visitors reach up and burnish the queen's golden orbs for luck. November 2023: In the shop for orb repair.
