Kazoo Museum

I had the pleasure of visiting this museum and it is hysterical. This is the actual place where the "kazoo' was born. They have a really nice display of "kazoos" and other instruments as well as a gift shop. The "curator" also gives a very nice talk about kazoos and how they came to be invented. Definitely worth a visit to wile away an afternoon or an hour or two.

The Original American Kazoo Company and Museum

Manufacture of the metal kazoo began in 1916 in Eden, NY, and continues to this day. It is a very quaint old facility with a gift shop and tours of the plant.

I was born in Eden in 1934 and often return, sometime with a grandchild who will get to tour the Kazoo Factory.

Only about 40 miles south of Niagara Falls, so it isn't far from major tourist attractions.

Directions:: Original American Kazoo Company. I-90 exit 57A. Drive about two miles east on Eden-Evans Rd to the traffic light. Turn right on S.Main St (US 62) and go about 3 blocks. It's on the left.
