Mighty Mouse and Elephant

I believe that this statue originated from New England Playworld, which was the new name in the final year of Benson's Wild Animal Farm [Hudson, New Hampshire] before it closed in 1987. Playworld had licensed Terrytoon characters from CBS in a last-ditch rebranding. Old photos of the statue that I've seen have a Magic Forest [Lake George, New York] sign on it, so it must have ended up there for a time, like so many other fiberglass items from closed attractions in the area.

Mighty Mouse and elephant still there. The restaurant is in a 1937 grade school gymnasium filled to the brim with pop culture relics. But Mighty Mouse and the ghostbusters car out front are free photo ops if you are not hungry.

The temperature was 89 degrees, so at first we thought this was a mirage: a big, weird statue in front of the old high school. A Ghostbusters ambulance and the Pacer from Wayne's World are parked behind it.
