The Fin Inn is going strong (my younger cousins work there). Amongst the live array of Illinois river fish along the walls, they also have a couple snapping turtles. Unlike the fish, however, those guys are unlikely to wander over to the wall-tank section nearest you. I recommend asking specifically for a good turtle view if you'd like to catch those guys in action (or trap them in a staring contest) while you wait for your meal.
[Nichol, 09/05/2010]There is a restaurant on Rt 3 -- the Great River Road -- called the Fin Inn, which though not elegant provides good food and more importantly the chance to watch all sorts of Mississippi river underwater critters living happily in huge tanks which line all the walls. It keeps kids hypnotized and ain't bad for us old folks either.
