Great Depression-fleeing Ziegfeld Follies dancer Blanche Russell had her car break down in Marble Canyon, and she decided to try turning the nearby boulders into a home. The remnants in the Vermillion Cliffs are called the "Old Cliff Dwellers Lodge."
