Sultan, Washington: Sultan John: 13-Foot-Tall Man with Fish
Sculpted by the late Jerry Carter in the 1980s out of sawdust and resin. Weighs two tons. Sultan John, namesake of the town, was a local tribal chief who died in 1906. He stands, naked to the waist, with a spear in one hand and a dead salmon in the other.

Sultan John Statue
Stopped in the town of Sultan and noticed this 13-foot-tall statue of Chief Tseul-Ted, aka: Sultan John. It was sculpted by Jerry Carter out of sawdust and resin and took most of a year to construct. He stands in Sultan's River Park.
