This was a multi-themed park [near Sarasota] that I can document with home movies taken when I was about six years old. This park had a Wild West Exhibit, and a boat pulled by a trained dolphin. These home movies show me trying to hold a conversation with a trained chimpanzee (I even try using hand signals to communicate). My 8mm footage has since been dubbed to VHS tape with piped-in music.

Floridaland was actually located in the nearby town of Osprey from 1964 until it closed in 1971. According to Ken Breslauer, author of Roadside Paradise, "This attraction was criticized for a number of problems, not the least of which was the death of several porpoises."
