Scrap Sculptures by John Welhelm

A field is filled with animals and figures sculpted from auto part and license plates. John Welhelm is a local artist specializing in recycling old metal into incredible masterpieces. I learned about this when I went to the Springerville Heritage and Visitors Center looking for the horse sculpture, and was told that it and other sculptures had been moved here. You can walk through the field and among sculptures, and at this time there is no fee.
