Octagon House

We were able to tour the inside of the Octagon House in 2017. They are still working to restore the house, which they plan to rent out as event space. The view of the town's pumpkin-shaped water tower is great from the second floor.

Octagon House

An eight-sided farmhouse was built by the Gregg family in 1855 and later occupied by the Crites family. It was originally on land now occupied by a shopping center. It was moved to its present location on February 14, 2004, after it had been placed on the list of endangered Ohio historical sites (Only 33 other octagon houses remain in Ohio). It is estimated to weigh 480 tons. It is currently being renovated and is not open to the public, but can be viewed from the outside any time.

Posted in the hopes that at least one of these almost interesting buildings is a museum of 8-sided objects, or haunted by octagon utopians.
