A few miles east of the burg of Gould on State Hwy. 14, several enterprising metal artists got together and constructed a full size metal moose covered with Barbed Wire fur. These enterprising artists went down to the Denver Museum of Natural History and took careful measurements of a stuffed, life size moose and then built one.
It now graces the entry to the Moose Visitor Center. It can be viewed 24/7/365. Best seen during daylight hours. You can also visit the exhibits inside and touch real moose fur, try on some moose ears, and hear the melodious grunts and groans that make up the moose vocabulary.
