Former Smallest Book in the World
The Cleveland Public Library has the John F. Puskas Miniature Books Collection, which contains what was, in 2002, "the smallest printed book in the world" (as judged by Guinness World Records): the 1985 edition of Old King Cole, published by Gleniffer Press of Paisley [Scotland]. This book no longer holds the record, but it's still ridiculously small. The Library also holds one of the largest collections, nationally and internationally, of material on chess and checkers, which is displayed near the tiny book.
