Original Golden Delicious Apple Tree I was lost near Clendenin, WV looking for house to visit (I'm in real
estate) when I came upon a sign stating that this was the site of the 1st Golden
Delicious Apple Tree. It is not a state sign, however it must have been very costly to make. It says something about a guy cross-breeding fruit trees and making the 1st G.D Apple. [James Vance, 10/13/2001]
