For a nickel, Huey Cooper -- beloved denizen of downtown Lake City -- let people rub his lucky rabbit's foot. On Sept. 10, 2014, the town unveiled a life-size bronze statue of Huey, sitting at one of his favorite spots, holding out his rabbit's foot. The statue, by local sculptor Alex Palkovich, has a slot in its pocket for people to deposit nickels.
