I have lived in Fortville my whole life -- since 1982. The Pink Elephant has always blessed us with its presence. It stands in front of the Wagon Wheel Liquor store on Broadway St. It is a must see attraction if you happen to be in Indiana.

This unapologetic hallucination still imbibes from a giant martini glass.
In downtown Fortville at Broadway Liquors, there is a giant (well, life-size) elephant on a flatbed trailer. The elephant is wearing glasses and seems to be drinking a martini through its trunk. A check of the Indianapolis Zoo, some 30 miles southwest, indicates that a) they aren't missing an elephant, and b) elephant's don't drink martinis.

Off highway 37/67 in Fortville is a giant fiberglass elephant. He's pale pink, wears black eyeglasses, and sips from a martini glass (complete with olive no less) he grasps in his trunk. He sits outside a liquor store, and has been there for as long as I can remember (early early 80's).
