The Carson golfer looks like he's ready for summer! He seems to be wearing a pair of red and blue striped swim trunks, with the Ocean Pacific logo on the lower left leg.
[Kindra, 07/13/2010]Muffler Man
At an 18-hole, night-lighted par 3 golf course visible from the freeway.
[Mark Harmel, 09/26/2004]Drove by the Muffler Man on the 405 freeway across from the Goodyear Blimp in Carson, Ca. and now he is painted GREEN!! Totally from head to foot! Don't know if this is a primer to prepare for new coat of paint, or if he's supposed to blend in with the golf course he's advertising (holds a golf club). Or if it's left over from a St. Patrick's Day trick. The poor guy certainly looks rather sickly!
[Pat H., 06/18/2002]The Muffler Man in Carson is outside the public golf course just along the 405 freeway. Every Spring, apparently to honor St. Patrick's Day, they paint him green. Not just his clothing, mind you, his ENTIRE BODY. A strange sight, indeed. He's back to his normal golfer colors now.
[Wil Grundon, 06/18/2002]Muffler Man at Golf Course. Recently changed from African American to White is now painted solid green. Do not ask me why unless he is going to be celebrating St. Patricks Day?
