This shoe tree is ancient -- as far as shoe trees go -- with reported sightings of extraneous footwear dating back to the 1960s.

I-30 exit 123. Drive south on Hwy 183/Reynolds Rd for four miles. At the stoplight turn left onto W. Sardis Rd. Drive 6.5 miles until the road ends. Turn left onto N. Sardis Rd. Drive north a hundred yards to the next intersection at Houge Rd; you'll see the tree in the tiny traffic triangle on the right.

According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, one local resident has reported shoes in the tree since moving to Sardis in 1968.
