New York, New York: Statue: Malcolm X Assassinated Here

Malcolm X was shot dead in the Audobon Ballroom in 1965. Forty years later the building opened as an Education Center with interactive displays. A life-size bronze statue of Malcolm X stands in the lobby; the Ballroom is upstairs.
