Yard Art: Mythic Creatures and Naked Humans

Three of the four corners of this quiet intersection in a West Seattle neighborhood are occupied by pleasant homes. But that fourth corner's a doozy. Rising out of the remnants of several tree stumps is a group of near-life-size sculptures. The humans are easy to pick out, but the others look as if they crawled out of an ancient ruin. What weird allegory is being acted out here? Your guess is as good as mine.
