Tiny Jail
The Union Jail was built out of concrete in 1916, a one-room jail that measures 12 x 10 feet. In 1926 the original door was removed forcibly in a attempted jailbreak. It was replaced with the door that is still on it today. I'm not sure when the town stopped using the jail (I heard it was in 1940). Union has no current businesses open and has a population of 99 (That's what the sign says). In July, 2006, the jail was put into the National Register of Historic Places.
