Wright Brothers First Flight
National Memorial preserves the spot where the Wright Bros. flew the first airplane on December 17, 1903 -- that is, if you don't believe the competing "first flight" claims in several other states. There's a small museum, a big monument, and a full-size outdoor bronze replica of the Wright's flimsy flying machine.
